Book of shadows ideas?

So I already have a book of shadows. It's meant to be a temporary one until I find something better to put my stuff in. I'm wanting to use something like what's in the pictures (not mine) but I'm nervous that I might mess it up or something. How do you guys deal with that, do you just tear it out? Use white out lol.

I think its important to keep 'mistakes' to learn from. However I'm also of the mindset that I want it to be Pinterest Perfect lol so id probably cry a litttle. I'm planning yo do any pictures in pencil first and carefully pen the words in . May I see your books cover? I always find it fascinating how others choose their books and how special they are!

Mine is 300 page hand carved leather
 bound journal I found at a ren fair.  my husband and I were walking along when I turned and walked straight into this shop tent, straight to the book and grabbed it.  I looked at him and said it was mine.  he asked if I wanted to look around and we did but I clutched that the whole time.  went to pay and found out it was a lot of money.  husband didn't care.  He already could see it was mine.  that was 4 years ago and I haven't written a single thing in it.  I have been too scared of messing up.  my husband even bought me a feather ink set to use.  Still scared of screwing up.  I have since been given a journal with similar pages.  I need to practice on that.  This is the cover.  Now that I have a daughter I need to get it going!
