Brand new here and doctor thinks I have PCOS, but no symptoms

I'm 36 and TTC. After 5 years of no protection we went to a fertility doctor. He THINKS I have PCOS, even though he can't prove it. I am regular every month, like clock work. I ovulate on my own. I don't have any signs from ultrasound of anything abnormal. Not insulin resistant, or pre diabetic. My blood test results are almost all normal. E2 is low. Doctor recommends IVF, we can't afford it. He said we can try IUI, but it has a 10% success rate taking in to consideration my age (he didn't seem too keen on trying it). I had gastric bypass 3 years 9 months ago and had major complications. I couldn't keep solid foods down for 7-8 months, there was a lot of vomiting in that time, and a LOT of weightloss. One of my test results is off and the doctor asked if I had an eating disorder, I think it's because of that timeframe that my number is off. My understanding is it can be a sign of PCOS or a previous eating disorder. No negative side effects now. I'm a healthy and steady 160-165 lbs. Just really want to grow our family- feeling broken and disappointed in lack of answers from the fertility doctor. Any suggestions?
