How long does a positive OPK stay positive

Hi guys,

So I got what i believed was a super positive OPK for the first time at 1pm today, but three hours later I tested again just to make sure and it wasn't positive anymore. The test line wasn't as dark. Was it a false positive? Im CD12 and have a 28 day cycle
