What in the world???

Question

I went to the hospital tonight because of cramping, pelvic pains/pressure. They’ve checked my cervix and it was closed. But they diagnosed me with chronic hypertension with superimposed preeclampsia and that I have to deliver my son at 37weeks. What in the world does that means? Would that consider my baby preterm? I’m so confused and upset. Please help me?

Update:
 I had no other choice but to deliver Jaydyn at 34 weeks. Jaydyn LeRoy Wise was born on October 10th 2017. He was 5lbs 1oz 18in long

Now he’s 7 lbs 13oz 20 3/4in long. And he’s cute as a button and a true looker

No, your baby will be term and won't even need any NICU time given that the delivery is "normal." 
They'll induce you at 37 weeks because of the preeclampsia and everything will be fine.

No mam! My son was born at 34weeks because I️ had a flu took som meds and I️ did not feel him moving all night like usual, went in to the delivery room they admitted me because my blood pressure was high.... no shit I️ was so scared something happens to him! Little man is about to turn 1 💙

I got the same diagnosis as you when I was 33weeks along back at the end of Aug.  My Doc put me on modified best rest & I could no longer work.  I had to go for non stress tests every tues & thurs.  The goal was to get me to 37 weeks but I only made it to 33.  Had a c section.  Baby girl was in the NICU for 33 days but is doing great now. Good luck to you!

Same I'm only 16 weeks and was told because I have chronic high blood pressure I'll be delivering at 37 weeks
