Can you really NOT spoil a newborn?

I’m hearing this everywhere. So why is that I put my son to bed he wakes up but laying on my chest or in a swing he will sleep? Ladies is anyone having this issue? Do you really believe you can’t spoil a baby till after 6 months? Please help!

Yeah I believed that “spoiling” them comes a lot later. Right now, they are most likely to sleep better on you just because it’s warm and they hear all your body noises that they heard in the womb. That’s not spoiling, that’s just comfort. When you lay them in a swing or crib, it’s cold and flat, and something they aren’t used to. 
Holding them to sleep during the day, if needed, is fine. It’s later on when they are old enough to make the connection between you holding them and sleeping that your problems arise. At least that’s what I think.

I find it hard to believe but would rather my son grow up knowing I’m there for him every time and love him then for him to start to feel let down. That’s the extreme version of it. 
My son sleeps on my chest a lot and most nights. We are slowly trying to get him used to his crib especially at night time but if he’s upset or it’s been awhile of fussing I do it. I love the cuddles too. He’s my rainbow baby and I never had a chance to do this before with my first son.
