Empty sac, miscarriage 😔

So I just got confirmation of miscarriage. My first ultrasound was 2 weeks ago (I was 7w3d) and she saw only an empty gestational sac. HCG levels stayed rising, so there was a possibility I ovulated late and wasn’t as far along as I should have been. However, repeat ultrasound today (9w1d) still shows empty. No yolk sac, no fetal pole, nothing. Just a black blob on the screen. But HCG is over 100,000. He says my body doesn’t recognize there’s nothing there. DNC tomorrow. I feel numb.
