Working as CNA throughout pregnancy anyone?
So I've been a cna technically for almost 7 years now but I haven't worked in about 2 1/5 years since I decided to stay home with my son up until about 5 weeks ago. I've read a lot about not lifting heavy objects while pregnant but me and my husband thought it would be a good idea and a big help with our new living situation and all that. I was just asked to take one patient exclusively 10hrs a day 4 days a week but this patient is completely dependent on me and needs to be lifted to use the commode. I wanna say she weights about 150 maybe 160 and is pretty much dead weight when being lifted. Is this too much to be lifting? I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and haven't really had too much of a problem other than being sore in my arms and back. It a good opportunity because I'll be getting plenty of hours, it's only 4 days a week, I get weekends off...etc, I just don't want to over do it and end up hurting my baby as I've been out of this work for nearly 3 years and just went back into it being pregnant. Has anyone been in this situation and advice is helpful please!😊
