Military moms and birth centers?

Is there anyone out there with Tricare Standard who was able to give birth at a birthing center? I gave birth almost a year ago to my son at a nearby hospital (we live on base but I wanted to be seen by civilian doctors) but had an awful, awful, awful experience and really want to give birth at a birthing center. I saw online that Tricare accepts Certified Nurse Midwives and there are SOME birthing centers covered. This is just ridiculous! I feel like military wives can't give birth in a natural environment :/ I'm only 4 weeks right now so I'm doing my research so I can be seen between 8-10 weeks but I know how appointments can fill up!
