What does it feel like when your water breaks?

For those who had their water break before going into labor or while in labor. If your water broke naturally (on its own), what did it feels like? What was your experience? This is my second baby but my water did not break with my first, doctors broke it for me at 8cm with my last and I was so out of it I don’t remember.

Mine was manually broken as well, however I've read many women describe it as thinking they've peed, but couldn't stop

I felt a small pop and then...it allll came rushing out.
Everyone is different though. Sometimes it's just a small leak.

I both heard and felt a pop sensation in my groin almost like when a joint pops. 15 minutes later I went to the bathroom and yep it wasn't pee

Mine broke with my first and seriously it was like a dam broke lol I had a huge gush of water and every time I moved more would come out....lol

Mine broke while they were giving me my epidural with my first. It felt like a gush of water came out. I looked at my nurse and was like uhhh either I just peed myself or I think my water broke. Ended up being my water, and it just kept coming out until I had him.

I woke up to a pop sensation. comparable to a water balloon popping under water. but instead of a gush I only had a small trickle. turns out my son's head was so low it was practically blocking the entire exit, once I pushed his head out my amniotic fluid exploded everywhere!

I heard and felt a pop in my groin area. I got up and water starting trickling down. Sat on the toilet and more water came out. Doesn’t feel like pee. It’s something you can’t stop. Make sure if it breaks you remember what time it breaks because medical personnel will ask.

Happened in my sleep. Woke up like I peed myself. Then after I got up, it kept leaking out. Your body continues to produce it until baby is born so you just keep leaking!
