uterus septum

i went through a missed miscarriage in august and went through a d&c;, i just had a 6 week follow up and my doctor recommends i see a specialist as there is a septum in my uterus. its going to be a 3-6 month wait just to talk to someone and i am in tears. has anyone gone through this?
