Brazilian wax with ingrown hair?

Hi everyone! Sorry if this is silly to ask, but I'm hoping to get my first Brazilian wax next week. My problem is, I do struggle with ingrown hairs often from shaving down there.

My question is,

Can you get a wax down there if you have an ingrown hair? I plan on plucking the hair and exfoliating prior to my appointment, but I was just curious what the protocol is. I'd hate to be turned down because of one that's healing, or of a scar, etc.

Just want to make sure I go in feeling the most fresh, clean, and prepared as I can!
