So is it a period?

I recently got my IUD removed and I spotted for 2 days and on the day of the removal, nothing. I’m supposed to start my period any day now and sure enough I had blood as if I’m starting my period. The thing is, I haven’t bled for almost 2 months. So I made an estimate when should I be getting my period. I usually don’t get my period until the 14 or 17 of the month. I just kept pushing it and waiting for it to happen. So is this my period? Or just something that happens after a birth control removal?
