Hey all.

Last year I got HSV1 (genitally) from someone I trusted and had known for 10+ years. It really sucked.

Fast forward to 10 months later and I've recently reconnected with an old flame. We didn't work out because we were too young and immature (partying, illegal activity, etc). But things are different now and we both agree we see real potential for this second chance. We haven't been physical yet but I know it's probably going to happen soon so...

How have you told a partner about your HSV status? What did you say? I haven't had a breakout since my initial one and my doc said I likely never will again. I'm very well read on the subject and feel like I know plenty to answer his questions. But how do I get the words out to tell him?
