So I went to my doctor about fertility drugs since my husband and I have been trying for about 3 years now. She says I can't do any fertility treatments until I have several tests done that my insurance will not pay for and the possibility of laparoscopic surgery to "take a look inside". Is this normal? Did anyone else's doctors require such invasive tests? I'm not against doing them but I kind of feel like I'm getting the run around a little bit.

My blood tests came back and I do suffer from PCOS but I've dealt with that since I was a teenager. My doctor wants to do a "flushing" of my tubes and vaginal x-ray. Did anyone else go through this? Am I just paranoid?
