Lots of 0-3, no newborn clothes?

Question

I'm due in a month and going through/washing clothes and realized I have TONS of 0-3 and very few newborn onesies/outfits. Lots of the 0-3 seems to be on the small side, though. Do I need to get more newborn or will baby be able to wear 0-3 immediately?

I would wait to buy any more newborns till after your baby is born. depending on how big your baby is at birth to what size they will be. I don't recall really using newborn size myself. my kids where 8lbs 4oz, 8lbs 11.5oz and 7lbs 11.7oz

have u had a recent scan where they've measured the babies estimated weight you can usually go by that

Wait to see, my first fit in newborn for a week and my second didn’t even fit in newborn.

+1 on waiting until delivery. We had 1 newborn onesie, our baby was a week late and 9 lbs. We went straight to 0-3 months.

My LO wore 0-3 month from the beginning and some were snug. Lol We used the newborn diapers the hospital gave us and those were a bit to small too. Just depends on your baby. If you want to buy a few outfits just keep the tags on them and return if need be.

mine couldnt wear newborn he was too big at birth. so i wouldnt go crazy buying a bunch or newborn diapers.

My girl was 7lbs and she fits newborn perfectly right now but I don't think she will for more than a few weeks. 
So depending on how big your baby's measuring i wouldn't go overboard on newborn sizes. Just one onesie for every day of the week would be enough

Really depends on the size of your baby. My LO was very small when born so I actually had to go buy preemie clothing (even though he was full term) and then at 1.5-2 months old he started wearing newborn and just now at 4 months old he’s starting to outgrow his newborn stuff and fit into a few 0-3 month outfits. It definitely depends on the brand too because like you said some are smaller than others. Some of his 0-3 fits like his newborn stuff but some 0-3 is still huge on him. You’re best bet is maybe purchase a few newborn outfits if you don’t already have some that way you’re not going out shopping for clothing that’ll fit right when you leave the hospital. And once you see what the baby needs when here you can go from there.

I was unsure about that too! My LO was born at 38 weeks and definitely needed NB clothes. Now he's 2.5 weeks and just starting to get closer to growing out of the NB. When I try to put him in 0-3 he works his arms and legs out into weird positions because it's too big.

Lots of 0-3, no newborn clothes?
