Crib for baby or no?

What age do babies stop or should stop sleeping in a crib? I have a pack and play that I have been using since my baby girl was born but she's getting bigger and heavier at 5 months of age and I'm wondering if I need to invest in a crib now and how long that will last?

I paid $160 for a crib on amazon that converts into a toddler bed and then into a full size bed. Worth it to have for the next 18 years

Should have been in a crib already. And a convertible crib will last until 4yrs. 
Im curious why didn't you think your child wouldn't need a crib or why would you question if a crib wouldn't be a good investment?

My son started sleeping in his crib at a few days old. His crib stayed in my room until he was 6 months old. He is almost 16 months and still sleeps in his crib. He is learning to climb now, but until he climbs out of his crib, he will be staying in it.

Baby needs a crib when they grow out of their bassinet or pack and play. Usually from 5/7 months until they move to a toddler bed around 3 or so.

If you get a concerrible it'll last through her toddler years. my nieces is 2 and uses her convertible crib

My son is 3.5 and still in his crib. He's never climbed out, and sleeps so well. He'll be transitioning into his big boy bed next month before baby arrives. A crib, and more importantly, a GOOD QUALITY mattress is a great investment!

My daughter is 2 1/2 and still sleeping in her crib. Plus we will use it for our next baby so it's a worthy investment. We moved her out of her bassinet in our room at 6 months.

It all depends on what you want to do. You have many options. I for one, have used my crib from day 1 all the way to a few weeks ago when I got my big boys a bunk bed, they are 4 and 6. You do not HAVE to get them out of the crib just because they are able to climb out.
