My daughter was sleeping through the night by 5 weeks old. She slept from 9pm to about 6/6:30am. She’d then eat real quick and go back to bed until 9am or so. She’s now 4 months old (18 weeks) and sleeps 8/9pm to 7/8am.

The thing to remember is that some babies sleep through really soon at a very early age and then later on start waking up during the night when they previously different which comes as quite a shock to parents not used not getting sleep ! Also my baby had periods when she slept through then stopped again (regressions etc). It's never been linear...Though generally speaking she did start self settling around 6 months...

Our third night home from the hospital, she slept 8 hours straight! By a month old she was doing 12. We had a couple rough months during the 4 month sleep regression, but by 5 months, she was back doing 12 hours straight  and that continued right through. She was an amazing sleeper!

My first slept about 11 hours straight through by 3 months and never really looked back, no real sleep regressions!  We have a new baby and I just want to get a feel for how typical or unusual our first was

6 months when I moved her to hwr room. If she is sick or teething or somthing then she gets up wt night somtimes but usually its all night long. i moved her the day she turned 6 months and before that she was waking up 3 or 4 times somtimes. She just wasnt comfortable in our room anymore.

He slept extremely well at 1-3 months. Then we hit the 4 month sleep regression and he didn’t sleep much at all until about 6 months old. Then he slept really well again, until 8 months. He’s 16 months now and still wakes up multiple times through the night. Always ends up in bed with me between 1am-4am.
