Am I normal?

I have had my period for about a year. About every other period I skip it. Which really confuses me. And when I am even on my period (which is 4 days) on my heaviest day, I cant  even fill a regular tampon in 6 hours! Is this normal?

My daughter just started her period about a year ago too and her doctor told us it is very common to be irregular for the first 18 or so months. Your body is still sorting out all of those hormones. I wouldn't worry too much right now.

My period once didn't come for about 4 months i would still PMS like i was having a period but just no blood and directly after that i bleed for almost 2 months straight i went to the doctor and they put me on bc they don't know what's wrong

It can have something to do with what you eat, different types of food affects different things in your body, if that makes any sense. I have an auto immune disease and can't really eat anything, but when I do eat gluten my period disappears for moths at a time. Same happened to my friend. But seeing as you've only had it for a year, I wouldn't worry too much, it's common for it to be irregular in the beginning, so you're absolutely normal! Hope this helped a little!

If it’s only been a year; then yes, you’re fine. You’re periods aren’t gonna be regular for a few more years. I’ve had mine for almost 7 and they’re just getting regular because of birth control. You’re fine ☺️

If you've only been getting periods for a year, then it is totally normal for them to be irregular for quite some time.
