Baby Ace Birth Story❤️

Taylor

Baby Ace finally made his appearance on sept. 29th. On Wednesday at my 41 week dr appt the dr decided I should go in to start ripening my cervix and induce on Friday the 29th due to my blood pressure going up. I arrived at 2pm on Friday and received cytotec vaginally to encourage dilation with the plan I'd probably go in to labor the next day. I was at 1 cm 80% effaced and after an hour dr membrane swept to 3cm. As contractions began to increase babies heart rate would drop with each one then go back up. As my husband and I were watching tv at about 730pm in the room I saw babies heart rate dip 5 times on the monitor and the dr and nurse rushed in and changed my position to all 4s on a bean bag and dr informed me he was calling in the operating team for an emergency c section. An hour later I was in the operating room and at 942pm my healthy baby boy was born at 7lbs 13oz, 19.75 inches. The heart rate dropping ended up being connected to the umbilical cord having developed incorrectly, the dr and surgeons said they'd never seen anything like it. There are usually 2 arteries but mine only had one, and protruded on the outside of the cord. Thankfully everything worked out and he's a happy healthy boy! I am so in love❤️❤️
