I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years and I just can't seem to win with my family. I'm black and my boyfriend is white. My mom has been through a lot of things growing up and she won't completely admit it, but I know she doesn't like him. The first time she met him over dinner, she barely said 2 words to him!! I just don't know what to do because my mom means everything to me, but I also have a life to live and really happy with him. A part of me feels like they are all waiting for us to break up.
