Husband won't Skype because I don't want to return my wedding ring. Did he take it too far ?

Me and my husband have had our differences and are supposed to be getting a divorce. None of us have filed for it yet but we now have a baby, I don't live with my husband anymore however recently we've been skyping nonestop for the last few days and we've been getting along so so well, like we used to.
About 2 weeks ago he needed me to send him back stuff for his work & I did, in the process he asked for the wedding ring back & except from telling him the truth that I can't let it go I instead lied saying it was being cleaned and promised to send it at a later date. He found out, I told him the truth and now he's flipped. Calling me a liar and will refuse to speak to me or Skype me making me feel guilty. I think hes taken it too far I told him that the ring still means alot to me and it's all I've got left of our " happiness/marriage ",  please give me your opinion!! 
When I would ring he would still answer, see me and after so many seconds ask what I want and then hangup... over and over. The longest he stayed on was 11 minutes then he got funny and hungup.
Please give me your advice , we are both in or 20s

It belongs to you. He bought it for you and since you got married you are legally entitled to it. You might need it for some income or for one of your children in the future. I would not give it back. You invested in the marriage and had a child. He's probably going to sell it or give it to someone else. Be strong and stand your ground.

It was a gift and you should keep it if you like. My aunt didn’t get married and she got to keep the ring. The court looked at it as a gift. When my parents divorced, my mom kept hers. She ended up pawning it.

You keep that ring. He gave it to you, it’s yours. And you’re right. If it reminds you of happier times in your marriage why should you have to give it away? Also I know people who are divorced now, they kept the ring and had the setting changed and just like magic its a brand new ring. Is it a family ring...Or one he bought for you? If it has been passed down through his family or even from just one family member I can see him wanting it back and in that case you should probably give it to him BUT if he bought it for you then as far as I'm concerned it was a gift and it's yours. My husband and I are sitting here discussing it and he totally agrees. He says that he wouldn't even ask for it back to begin with. Anyway. This seems more like bitterness and just a passive aggressive way to hurt you more than him actually wanting the ring back....unless, of course, it was a family heirloom. I'm sorry you are going through this. Sending prayers and good vibes 💜
