Been TTC for just about a year now. Went last week and had my annual pap done and started discussing long term birth control. I work for a Catholic health system and because of that all of my doctors are in that health system as well so it is very hard to get insurance coverage of any form of birth control. I got a call today from my OB/GYN that the implant was denied, but they will cover an IUD (they didn't tell me if it was the Mirena, ParaGuard or any of the others) and they had one at the office for me, to call when I started my period to come in and have it placed. I'm excited about it because my boyfriend leaves for school in February for 9 months, I plan on starting nursing school in that time, and we're moving in December. But I am worried becausne I've heard some horror stories about them. if you have an IUD, do you love it? hate it? having/had problems with it?
