So I went to the ER last night because of herniated disc pain. I was transferred to a better hospital where I could see neurosurgeon. When part of the team, not the head doctor, came in he started the exam and asking questions. All normal. Then he said family needed to leave, meaning my husband and my mom. Not telling me why until after he kicked them out, shut the door and the curtain then told me what he was doing and that I needed to roll over. I was in shock and nervous being alone. He completed the exam and since I have felt very uneasy and violated. When I mentioned it to my husband and mom they were both upset I was not given the option to have someone stay. Am I correct in feeling this why or is it normal? I am having a tough time sleeping and just want to cry.
