Swelling after c-section??

I had my C-section on 10-2-17 and since then my legs and feet have gradually gotten more and more swollen and huge :( I know they said I would be swollen from all the fluids but I have gotten more swollen since being home than I was when I had an IV in. Is this normal?

Took about a week for me to go back to normal

totally normal. took 2 weeks for my swelling to go down. compression socks helped and my husband would rub my feet gently which really helped.

Totally normal! I made a post at a week pp and literally by day 9, my feet and legs were completely back to normal!! I forgot what it was like to have such small feet since my entire pregnancy I was swollen and the c section made it worse. There is an end to it 🙂 I noticed sleep helps and I always elevated my feet when I went to bed

Try to walk as much as u can...( not talking abt marathon) and wear compression stocking

Yes , normal ......this happened to me after my csection . It was the nurse who looked and my stitches a week after that the swelling in my legs ,ankles and feet was due to something (forgot what she said sodium something or other) they put in with the meds to numb you from waist down . Only time will fix it it will work it's way out of your body in 12-15 days after surgery and it did ! By day 12 my ankles were ankles again ! Whatever you do dnt take water pills they won't help and may prolong the time . Hope this helps ! Hang in there this too shall pass !

It’s normal. It truly scared me to death, I was perfectly fine in the hospital then when I came home I was beyond swollen. Give it about a week and keep those feet elevated !!

definitely normal after a c- section.  my doctor said it's due to all the liquids the pit in your body. ironically, she said drink lots of water so you body can filter all of those fluids out,  and to stay on your feet, as long as you aren't in pain.  I was better after a few days,  less than a week.
