Just had my doc appt today at 38w 2d. Last week I was completely closed and "starting to soften up" but today I'm 60% effaced and 2 centimeters dilated. OMG. Doc told me that and it seriously hit me that I'm going to have my first baby SOON. Due date is the 18th so we'll see if she decides to come early. I know it differs for every woman but for those ladies who have had babies before, when you were around 2 dilated and 60% effaced how long before your babies showed up?
