checking cm and cp

this is gonna sound so stupid... but is it okay to check cm and cp after bding if you're ttc? the reason i ask is cause if sperm lives in you for 5 days then isnt sticking our fingers up there just gonna kill the sperm?? idk maybe im just at my wits end and worrying about everything i could be doing wrong...
