How did you introduce your new baby to your fur babies?

I have two young dogs (both under 2) and they are large. They are both as sweet as can be but their energy level and size makes me slightly nervous for the first few days home with my newborn.

I plan to have my husband bring home a blanket from the hospital for them to sleep with and get used to the baby’s smell.

Is there anything else I can do to make it easier on them to adjust? I don’t want them to feel left out and as though we replaced them.
