Yesterday I took my Dachshund on a walk and he was his normal happy self. We got home and he took a long nap on the couch, which is normal after a long walk. 2 hours later I call him to go out to potty and he picks his head up and just stares at me. I figured he was being lazy so I left him. I leave for 30 mins and come back home and he is acting funny. He won't let me kiss him or get near his face, he is scrunching up his mouth and showing his teeth (non aggressively), and he seems very dizzy or off balance. He won't walk due to almost falling over every step. I called the on call Vet and he said either a seizure or an ear infection. If we woke up in the am and he's still having symptoms to bring him in...if not and it gets better then it was most likely a seizure. Well it's morning and he seems to be doing better. No balance issues. He even ate breakfast. Has anyone's dog had a seizure or ear infection and their dog had these symptoms?
