What would you do with a friend that you caught trying to steal stuff from you
Hey ladies! I need your help! I’m at cross roads. I caught my friend trying to steal stuff from me. She had asked me to warm up a quesadilla for her. Which I thought was weird because she was more than capable of doing it herself and had before, but maybe she felt because it was my house, I should get it for her. Well I warm it up and come back to her shoving something frantically in her bag. She had my bag next to her and I could smell it fresh in the air. I knew my bag had been open. I asked about the smell and she said she just wanted to take a picture. Then she immediately tried to leave. I knew I needed to check her bag. She was being very protective of it. I finally got a hold of it as she was walking out saying I was putting something in there for her. I pulled out a full bag. She cried. Told me her husband put her up to it. I’m just not sure what to do. I know her husband is a scumbag. He verbally abuses her. Is never around for her because he is working. I’ve been there for her when he wasn’t for over the past 2 years. She has really become my best friend. I have done so much for her. I used to drive her home from work when she didn’t have a car. I watched her son for free from the time he was born (average at least 15 hours a week!) I didn’t understand why she would do it. I had given her a little bit of free stuff too just 2 days before. Plus, they are very well off. They live in a 1200/month apartment. They don’t struggle. She buys impulsively all the time and never saves because she “doesn’t need to”. I am currently in college but have been taking online. So my social circle has literally dwindled to just her. I’m afraid to be completely friendless but on the other hand do I really want a supposed best friend like that? If you guys were in this situation what would you do? It was at least $100 worth. She said they were going to pay me back later. Although I don’t think now they would have been honest in paying me back IF they even did at all. Thank you for reading 💚
