Swelling and Sharp Pains

I know vaginal swelling is normal (I unfortunately have experienced it with all of my babies) but the swelling got worse the past few days. Today, the pressure is really intense and I'm experiencing sharp stabbing pains in my pelvic area and cervix. It's like lightening crotch but constant. My blood pressure is fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Would you call the on call doctor?
