How do you stay happily married???

I've been married for 2 years and my marriage is literally falling apart. I genuinely can't stand being around my husband most of the time.  I don't know how ppl stay HAPPILY married.

Like anything else it takes work. I'm not talking 50/50 bull.... I'm talking 100/100 %. If you are only doing 50/50 you are doing half assed. In school a 50% would be an F..... just saying.
I met my (now) husband right after I graduated high school (1996), he's almost 5 years older than me. We've been together over 20 years, married over 10.
I still have times now after all these years where I can't stand him... even his breathing... but check yourself because chances are he feels that way sometimes too. 
Communication, appreciation, gratitude, humble yourself, stand up for yourself. If you truly want things to work, you gotta be on the same page.

By working on it. We have been married for 13 years. Had rough patches definitely and I find those patches start/get worse when we don’t spend time together. When we are just 2 ships passing in the night and busy busy busy we start to get get distant. Does a world of good to make an effort to spend time together. And focusing on what I love about my husband, the qualities that make him a good man help. It can be so easy to focus on the negative. No one is perfect and the grass isn’t greener.

At 2.5 years of marriage, I almost called it quits. I knew for a long time we needed counseling, but he would never go. Saying, "I don't want to talk to a stranger about my personal life". When he knew I was only hanging on by a thread, he reached out to our preacher who happened to be an excellent counselor. First we read Love Busters by Willard Harley Jr. (I think that's his name). After working through that, we read His needs, Her needs by the same author. Best thing to happen to our marriage. It is 100/100 and the hardest thing I've ever done.

That's a tough one. I'm going on four years married and have never felt the way you feel. I feel like we are so much more on the same level and being with him is so comfortable it's like being alone. Believe me we argue, we've had low moments and we've shed tears and said things we shouldn't have said but we always get that much closer... 
If I felt the way you felt I would seriously worry. What is bothering you about him? Is it just his personality? Did he do something to break your trust and now you're harboring resentment for him? I would seek counseling if I were you before you just don't care enough anymore to even want to do counseling and just walk away. My brother was blindsided by his wife leaving him like that and she just didn't want to even try. Also I read somewhere that people will try to make things work until the good memories that they have of the relationship are overwhelmed by the bad. Don't let the scales tip if you can help it.

Some relationships aren't easy and never will be, they will always require hard work.  The other comments suggesting a small holiday is a good idea.  Maybe start small as well,  write a list of the things you remember from when you first started dating,  try to remember why you fell in love etc?

Maybe you guys need a mini vacation away from eachother or honestly together but away from your everyday lives.
