Poop or labor?

Hi mommas I'm currently 37weeks 6days and I've been experiencing a feeling of as if I've got the urge to poop but everytime I go ..nothing and it hurts a little ..am I just constipated.?

When I was in labor at the hospital I kept telling the nurse that I had to poop but couldn't. She gave me a weird look and told me to lay down so she could check me....i went from 4cm dilated to 8 in an hr and a half. LOL it was just the babe...but my water had broke at home which is why I knew I was in labor and was at the hospital. :-)

I'm having the same pains since last night and it's so uncomfortable! Tmi I've been having loose stools all day yesterday so I know constipation isn't the prob, hoping its the start of things! Last appointment I was dilated to 1 1/2 🤞🏽

That's how mine felt but like the worst poo pains ever!😂 with my daughter it actually took me an hour to realize I was in labor and they were contractions and not horrible poop pains!😂 I kept trying to poop but nothing would come out.

could be...labor feels more like horrendous period cramps that come and go consistently
