Bassinet - where to start?!

Question

What should we plan on using as a bassinet in our bedroom for the first few weeks/months? We are buying the uppa baby vista, so we could use that bassinet and buy the stand for it. Or we could get the halo bassinest or an auto rock n play. We have a small rental unit and are conscious of space, but also want our sleep!! 
Any suggestions? I don't even know where to start. Ftm over here!! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I bought the uppa baby vista so we are using the bassinet with the stand. Cat approved.

The point of a bassinet is to have it bedside. It'll keep you from getting up every hour.

The pack n play with the bassinet insert is awesome. I would also recommend the rock n play. It folds up so it won't take up too much space when you aren't using it. It's been great for my daughter.

I would go w pack and play deluxe. The weight limits on some are low so u don't get long use of bassinet. :)

98% of my friends have recommended a pack and play with the infant insert... that way when they get bigger it’s still useful. You could also use it when you go places or even if you are just in another part of the house.  If you don’t have much space, I wouldn’t invest in a bassinet that they only fit in for a short amount of time.

We have the Halo and I loved it for the swivel, lights and vibration. It was better than a bassinet on a pack n play because it was easy to move out of the way and has a much smaller footprint. I always see them at second hand stores if you want a deal.

I'm a FTM also so I went by suggestions. Almost every one suggested the Halo. We've already set it up, it's gonna sit next to our bed. I hope she likes it. We also have a Fisher Price Rock N Play sleeper, but we will probably use that more in the daytime.

I'm getting a pack and play that has the bassinet included! They aren't that much more expensive than the regular pack and play and when baby is done with the bassinet you still have the pack and play :)

We have the Halo and absolutely love it, but it’s quite bulky and very heavy so I don’t recommend it for a super tight space. I don’t think the Vista bassinet has mesh sides, so I’d be a little concerned about letting my LO sleep in it overnight, but there are plenty of bassinets out there with mesh sides that can fold easily to save space. I was looking at the fisher price Stow n Go bassinet before my friend gave us her Halo.
