Thoughts?

Question

So I have tried the pill (multiple versions) and the hormones are too much for me 🙁
That being said, I am most likely (unless my dr and I can come up with something else that’s not the arm insert) getting the copper IUD a week from today.
Anyone have one that can offer insight into how it works and how it makes you feel??

Horrible idea , horrible and depo. Also horrible I was with mirena for 5 years removed to have daughter get it again for 5 years removed to get pregnant again not complication for me

I had the copper IUD for 6 years and loved it because it was hormone free. The insertion hurts a little more than the hormonal IUD because it’s a little larger, and you periods can be heavier for a while or even the whole time you have it. But I had no issues with it, and got pregnant 2 months after taking it out. I loved it and would get it again.

Personally, the copper iud is a horrible idea. I had it once upon a time and had it removed. I bled like a stuffed pig (and that’s not normal for me) and had cramps that were debilitating (again, not normal for me). Id do some more research. I’m getting the mirena after my little one is born (25 Days, thank you Jesus!)
