Positive Birth Story!
My son was born August 9th so I'm a little late posting, but thought I'd share my positive story! At 2:30am on the 9th I got up to pee and as soon as my foot touched the floor my water broke. We drove over to the hospital and at 3am were told we were going home as the pH test came back negative, no contractions, and I was only 36w1d. I kept insisting I knew my water had ruptured and after I got up to get my clothes on and there was blood on the sheets they finally admitted me thankfully. Apparently my body wanted him out, but my baby didn't get the memo as I was only at a 1cm- so the pitocin began at 4am. At 8am I got my epidural and progressed until 5pm. At 6pm I was only at 6cm and he was no where near engaged so we were told to get ready for a c-section. Luckily with another boost in pitocin, and some positioning, we got to 9cm and he finally headed down. I started pushing at 8pm and at 8:24pm after 17 hours of labor, and 4 weeks early, Jax was born 6lb 13oz, 20in long and no NICU needed! Labor was incredibly easy (to my surprise) as I slept most the time, and the worst part of pushing was the blood vessels on my face feeling like they were gonna burst, and I started throwing up 3 pushes before he was out. Other than that, my experience was great and I hope for it every pregnacy, and for everyone elses!
