Pelvic exam at 6 week check?

Is it normal to not have a pelvic exam done at the 6 week postpartum check? I just had my appt today and wasn’t examined, the doctor just asked if anything hurt.

I delivered vaginally and had a pelvic check at my appointment and discussed birth control. I assumed this was the norm but not sure

That is pretty weird, they usually like to check & make sure you’re healed properly and cervix is closed

Vaginal delivery with tearing but everything else was normal - no exam at my 6 week.

No exam here! I had a super easy pregnancy, an easy labor and delivery and an even easier recovery. I’m sure if I had been having issues, he absolutely would have done an exam. But there really wasn’t a reason to. And I was back on birth control before I left the hospital too so my 6 week appointment was very quick and easy.

I had a csection and my doctor didn’t check me.

I didn't have one, nor did I have any during my pregnancy until I was in labour. But it seems they are much less invasive here in Australia thankfully
