How do I count days passed ovulation?

If I am late do I count from the ovulation day from my last period? Or the one I missed?

Answer

If you’re late, your cycle is still counting. Dpo is calculated from last ovulation, as in apprx two weeks after your last period until whatever today’s date is. So if you ovulated on CD 14 and you are 3 days late on a normal 28 day cycle, you are on CD 31 and 17dpo.
