Group b strep?

Just peeked at my lab results and saw it was positive and now am forcing myself not to look on web md. Has anyone else tested positive and have a little more info until I see my dr?

awwww sweetheart, like all these wonderful ladies said, strep B is incredibly common. and in all honesty, even if you are positive the odds are in the favor that your baby won't suffer any I'll effects if you don't get antibiotics. but with the antibiotics your baby will be fine. it's just a very common bacteria that grows (or thrives, or lives) on our skin. so what they do is as soon as you feel like your going into labor, do not wait. go straight to the hospital so that they can start the IV drip off antibiotics because it takes 4 hours. good luck sweetie!! have a safe delivery 😆

Don't stress! Once you go in to labor just go in and they'll give you antibiotics. Easy peasy ♡

Its something we all carry, it's weather it's active or not. at least that's how my doctor explained it. juat means theyll put you on antibiotics when you go into labor to make sure your baby does not get it. ill get my results tomorrow but i think it's fairly common.

I tested positive. DON'T GOOGLE IT!!! My on said she has had one bad thing happen. The mother was in labor for 2 days before she got to the hospital and they lost the baby. That was 20 years ago. Remember that being in labor without medical atrention for more than 24 hours is super risky. She told me don't worry about it. When I think I'm in labor go to the hospital and if I really am they will get me hooked up to an iv and give me the antibiotic that is needed. I did all of that and I had an easy delivery and a very healthy 8lb baby boy. Don't worry about it.
