Birth control

Hi! My husband and I are building a house that will be ready in 4 months. We are currently living with our inlaws right now. We are ready to start having kids now. Once we move in, it’s on :) I stopped my birth control pills about 6 months ago. But I haven’t had regular periods since then . My cycles are all wack. Any suggestions? When is the best time to start trying? I took birth control for 5 years... 😶 I don’t want this to effect me getting pregnant.
