Best Shoes For Hairstylist?

So, I recently enrolled in cosmetology school. I will start in February. Even though that's still a few months away, with having a small child, I like to plan ahead and budget my money/buy things when they're on sale. So, my question would be, what shoes do you find are Best? Something that you can stand for long periods of time in and are comfortable, but are still fashionable and somewhat trendy (or a good classic style). Dress code is business casual/occasionally professional, and everything must be in black or white (or prints made ONLY of black and white). Also, any additional advice is ALWAYS welcomed.

I only wear Skechers flats. They have memory foam and they're so comfortable.

I wear sandals at my job. Everyone tells me I will regret it in the long run since we are always on our feet. But I hate wearing shoes and like feeling barefoot
When you get out of school you will realize how much of a pain dress code is. I have to wear solid black. No jeans no matter if black or not, nothing that looks like jeans, no tank tops, no sweatshirts, no teeshirt looking tops, no armpits showing, dresses past finger tip length. 
Shoes at my job can be any color but cannot be flip flops, no boots, and no athletic shoes. 
I'm about to buy a pair of solid black nikes though. They look they'd pass. Go for anything that's comfortable to you. For me it's sandals. I highly suggest you avoid flats though. They're great at first but you'll go home crying after two weeks wearing them.
