Pregnant or not?

I would love some advice from you lovely ladies, whether it be for the worse.

I am currently 14 days late for my period. I did a test on the 08/10... I didn't have time to wait for it so I left it on the bench for when I got home and I got a very faint line!

I was SO excited as we've been trying for almost a year now!!

I thought I'd do another test on yesterday 10/10, however I got no line on two different tests. They were in the afternoon so I then tried this morning 11/10 and still no line.

I've made an appointment to see my GP on Friday but it's driving me insane. I've obviously google doctored myself and all that comes back is chemical pregnancy or miscarriage.

Has anyone else experienced this and could shed some light?
