When did you start buying for baby?

I am 29 weeks and have yet to start shopping.I am a FTM and don't know what how much I should buy before she is born, or what things I can buy after.

We bought a lot of the bigger furniture that we didn't expect people to get us from weeks 20-30. After that we had 4 showers on weeks 30, 32, 35, and 36. At those we mostly got decorations and clothes for the baby... I found most people in our parents generation did not want to follow a registry and most of the people In our generation did, but still wanted to buy the cuter stuff... not really the stuff we need. I had my amazon cart full of everything we needed and I would delete it if we got it as a gift... after the last shower I bought everything else left in the cart. I've been done with nursery since about week 35 and done completely since week 37 including all bags packed, diaper bags, etc. 12x days to go at the most!

I started buying lots of clothes between 33-37 weeks. I have so many newborn onesies that I didn’t use! I recommend buying lots of sleeper gowns (the kind that are open at the bottom) because they are usually sized 0-6 month so they will last a while. I also love the zipper sleep n plays because I don’t have to worry about socks and they’re easy for diaper changes. Buy lots of 0-3 month zipper sleep n plays as well. My son is almost 2.5 weeks and wearing 0-3 month and 3-6 month. We used about 120 newborn diapers and now we’re going through the size 1 diapers. We have about 350 size 1 and I’m sure we’ll need more before he grows out of them. We go through about 10-12 diapers a day and around 20-30 wipes (I use about 5-10 wipes for every poop, depending on how messy it is). We love Pampers diapers and Waterwipes the most because they don’t cause any irritation and they work very well.

I didn't start buying things til about 30-32 weeks 😩😩 with my first I started gradually buying things once I found out the sex and saw things that I liked 🤷🏽‍♀️ but to each is own it all depends on you, your finances and budget

21 weeks and haven't bought anything. Baby shower is early December so I'm waiting until after that. So I guess around 31 weeks is when I'll start to buy things... may buy crib before baby shower.. we will see

I stated buying some things around 20 weeks when I found out the sex, but I buy things throughout I’m waiting on my baby shower which is thanksgiving weekend then I’ll buy whatever else I don’t get currently 29 weeks

We started buying at 15 weeks. I’m now 29 weeks and we have the nursery done. We already had the baby shower, so we pretty much have everything at this point! Plus we’ve been diaper/wipes stock piling and are pretty set for a year lol. We pretty much just need the baby now!

I got a few pieces after finding out the sex. I had to control myself bc I knew I wanted a shower. after the shower I just got whatever she didn't get

I put out my baby registry after I learned the gender/sex. So people could buy whatever but I didn't buy stuff myself until the end of the second trimester

I just hard my baby shower at 32-33 weeks, we decided to wait until after the baby shower to start shopping so we could see what others got us and we could get the stuff we still need. We didn’t want to get doubles of anything and we didn’t want to buy anything we didn’t have to and at the baby shower we got pretty much everything we needed just have to get her some more hats, a car seat and a couple other little things!

Started buying gender neutral at lik 10wk then after i found out i was having a boy i start buying the winter items on sale at babies r us jus so we cud have it cuz he will be coming on thanksgiving day
