Why are baby pants so tight

I was at the a kids clothing store this weekend and I noticed all the girls pants are leggings or jeggings. Why are pants so tight for girls?! I want something more loose fitting. Is it a safety thing?

My "full figured" daughter can't wear leggings or any carters pants lol. Way too small. I have good luck with baby gap. They have looser fitting pants. And I have a lot of joggers. I usually find them at target, h&m;, sometimes old navy, and my fav is zara. They have the cutest comfiest pants. 😊

I'm a fan of pants that will be  comfortable for her to crawl and move in without restriction and heaviness so jean type are very rare but she does have a few pairs. I like the loose fitted ones my baby boy has. I haven't seen any like them in the girls section though🤔

They are making “joggers” that are looser.  Or I buy boy pants lol
