Do you moisturize before you put makeup on

Just curious because I saw a post a lot of woman do. I never have and I am wondering why you would?

If you moisturize, it's similar to a primer before makeup. The makeup goes on smoother and doesn't dip into the pores in your skin as easily. It can make your makeup last longer and look better.

Because you are supposed to use a facial moisturizer in general and it makes sense to apply makeup to a freshly washed face. A freshly washed face calls for moisturizer. Also, it makes the skin soft and smooth for a better application of the makeup.

if i put make up on without moisturizer that's just a disaster. I have very dry skin. even on days where I don't wear makeup I need moisturizer otherwise I dry put and my cheeks flake

because if you have dry skin your makeup will look like shit. 
i dont moisterize bc i dont dry my skin out but i do use a primer spray and porefessional

I have combination skin and I NEED to moisturize in those areas or else I’d end up with flaky skin. However, I always moisturize regardless, it just doesn’t feel right putting on makeup without moisturizer. And if I’ve showered earlier and already moisturized then I just put some aloe vera gel on my face to refresh it again.
