depends, mesh undies, or pads?

Quick question, I've had some conversations with my friends that are moms and a lot of their opinions vary but I wanted to ask others too...
I'm here packing my hospital bag and I just wanted to know everyone's opinions as far as Depend underwear. I was told to pack some depends by a Few of my friends, a Few others told me to just use the overnight heavy flow pads, and couple told me to just use the mesh undies and pads they provide you...
What did everyone use as far as coverage, pain relief, etc? Thanks so much in advance

I used depends at the hospital and the first few nights at home. Looooottttsss of bleeding. The mesh underwear felt too loose to me like they were falling off and it felt like the pad was just going to fall right out of them. Then I used the Always overnight pads that cover the whole back of your butt, but aren't bulky during the day at home. (With some witch hazel on them).

I’m going with all of the above. I bought a few of each option and I’m going to decide how I feel after. But most of my mom friends said skip the pads and just do the depends - especially for the first 48 hours.

I've only ever used pads. I hate them but only ever used the overnight ones. Never needed anything else

I had a c section and think they suck a lot out so didn't have too much blood so overnight slim pads were fine xx

I think it depends on a lot of factors I used regular pads both times but I really didn’t bleed a lot after the first 2 days

I used the mesh underwear and pads they provide. The mesh underwear are really comfortable and the pads are big and did a great job at soaking up blood.

I used the mesh undies and the pads provided. The the pads they have me where like ice packs but didn't get super cold but felt very nice. then i had got overnight pads after I was out of the pads that where provided.

Mesh underwear and granny panties hold the big pads best(always overnights--purple package) . Never tried depends personally
