Stillbirth?

Are stillbirths rare? I am 38 weeks & I am absolutely petrified of having one. I feel like I don't deserve my baby & I would be completely shocked if I brought him home. It's such a horrible feeling

I feel the same. It's become an obsessive fear and causes me to panic and to cry most days and be miserable and depressed. I'm 38 weeks also. Going to talk to my doctor about it today as it's really making it hard to function through each day. Its 4:30am right now and I'm awake, as usual, because of the fear. I know people say worry is normal, but it seems most people can still be happy and excited at the same time. I'm absolutely sick of hearing people say "oh honey, wait until they start to drive!". Ive lived with an anxiety disorder pre-pregnancy, and I can tell you that spending weeks obsessed (pacing around in circles through the day) and depressed with this constant fear, trying to function through panic attacks without medicine and literally just make it through each day, it is not normal. I've been having scary thoughts about how it wouldn't be so bad if I got injured because they might have to take the baby out early, and at least I'd know the baby would be okay. It's not normal and I don't know how I'm going to get through the rest of this pregnancy.

The chance of having a stillbirth right now is very small. Try to redirect your thoughts into something positive. I had a stillbirth in Sept 2016, so its always on my mind. Anytime I start to focus on it I try and redirect my thoughts.  Good luck!

I thought was the only one! Ugh its so saddening. Im just in constant fear. I don’t like talking about bc Im afraid it’ll come true or something. Ive just been so scared to share this feeling. Thank you bc Im so paranoid. I just need to pray a redirect my thoughts even more.
