TTC before deployment

Does lifting your legs up after sex actually work at all? I feel like an idiot the few times I’ve done it. My husband is getting deployed soon (about a month) and will be gone for 25 weeks. We currently have a two year old and what to be pregnant again before he has to leave. That way when he comes back he’ll be there for the birth this time. (He was deployed and missed our first).

Last time it took us a year to get pregnant and we weren’t seriously trying. Any helpful tips would be appreciated.
