When does she get big girl pillow and cover?

Question

My 18 month old is still in the crib, I’m definitely not ready to transition her to a toddler bed yet, but when do you get your little one a pillow and sheets/covers?
It’s starting to get cold, so I think she’d be more comfortable under a cover sheet and quilt rather than a loose blanket. 
I’m just wondering if she’s to little for that though. 
I am terrified of running a space heater in her room. Visions of it bursting into flames and engulfing my baby is enough to give me a panic attack! So I’m trying to figure out the best way to keep her cozy.

My daughter just got her own pillow a couple months ago but she's been sleeping with a blanket for a long time and will not sleep without either one

I feel like my 18mo old is super old for her age haha. We transitioned her to a big girl bed a month after I had my second (so two months ago) she’s been sleeping with a pillow and blankets too. It was almost a natural transition because we co-slept, so going from a big bed to her little bed was no problem. She loves her bed and her pillows and blankets. I guess it depends if your toddler is older for their age or younger. My LO acts more like. 2yr old so we felt it was right.

We still use a sleep sack. No pillows or blankets. I don't think they're safe or necessary until they're older, and getting in/out of bed on their own.

My son has been using a throw blanket for a few months now. He doesn't use it to cover up but likes cuddling it while he sleeps. I tried a pillow for a few days but he wanted nothing to do with it so I took it out.

My 17 month old has had a pillow and one of his baby blankets for a few months now. It started by him stealing my pillow and then refused to sleep without one and he snuggles the blanket rather than cover up with it. He starts out covered up and on his pillow but by middle of the night hesat the other end of his crib completely away from it.

My daughter has a blanket, but doesn't use it. She's very warm at night, so doesn't really need it. I gave her a pillow when I switched her crib into a toddler bed. She loves it. She still sleeps most nights in our bed without a pillow, but likes it while in her own bed. I gave her an old worn out pillow so it's very flat.

Babies R Us has baby size thicker quilts, Toys R Us has tiny “fun” pillows.

Same here! We are hesitant too so we still just layer up onesie pjs & even a fleece outside layer if its really cold. We give her a blanket for naps to see how it goes but she doesnt really seem to use them yet either so for now we are still layering. As far as pillows go i would probably put it under the fitted sheet so she couldnt accidentally cover her face? I might be extra paranoid though lol but like you said the thought just sends me into major anxiety mode. 😂
