Target mom and stranger situation!
So I went to target and of course I had to buy some popcorn. My baby is almost 1 and I'm that parent that gives my baby the tiniest pieces of things I'll eat like fruit a bit of bread oatmeal etc.
Anyways my baby kept looking at me eat pop corn so I decided to find a piece that didn't have butter and was soft without the hard stuff just so he can have a taste. I just feel so bad when he stares at me and drools to whatever I'm eating.
Next thing I know I hear---
"MA' AM... MA' AM!!!!"
And turn around to the sides to see if they were speaking to me so apparently yes...
I go "Excuse me? Are you speaking to me?"
And this 40ish American lady goes on to tell me I'm a horrible mother for feeding my baby popcorn, she screamed at me and made a scene I was extremely embarrassed the fact other mothers gave her a "wtf" look because it was the tiniest piece ever. She literally said my baby is going to have a short life for not feeding him right.
First of all I make my sons food at home natural and organic everything but once in a while I let him taste little things so he can explore food.
Anyways, then I got to a point I was so embarrassed but upset because I was minding my own business and having a great day so I move forward by respectfully telling her "With all do respect you shouldn't worry about others kids but your own!"
Ladies, what do you think of this?
Would you be mad or how would have you reacted to this?
Do you feed your baby little things like this once in a while or am I the only one?
I know some stuff are bad but a I feel a baby won't die with once in a while or a first time trying a tiny piece of something.
P.s my baby has teeth just incase some of wondering.
