Is this considered cheating?

I've been with my boyfriend, well "ex" boyfriend now, for about 10 months. I have never had the Intentions of cheating on him EVER. I truly love him with all of my heart. He found some old messages from my ex (2 guys ago) saying that if he went to another party let me know so so can I can go. I never go to parties so I at least just wanted an invite. So my boyfriend had the idea of saying I asked him to take me to the party & I asked him to pick me up and take me. I never typed those words so I don't see where he got that from. He kept telling me "oh well you cheated on me". To me that I never cheated because I didn't sleep with or do anything with him I wouldn't do with my siblings. Never once did that conversation lead to anything sexual or talking about anything to threaten our relationship. I just don't see why he's getting so worked up about this & why he ended our relationship over this..We have been through SO MUCH making sure everyone approved our relationship. Please help get my love back or give me advice please.
